What is Clinical Canine Massage?

Clinical Canine Massage is a natural form of pain relief that can help to resolve soft tissue dysfunction or muscular injuries often seen as limping, lameness, slowing down and stiffness. It also helps manage chronic pain caused by orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis, elbow/hip dysplasia spondylosis. It is a non invasive hands on therapy suitable for all dogs young or old. Senior and sporting dogs will especially benefit as it can improve gait, posture, behaviour and performance.

Each session is tailored specifically to the needs of each dog. Results are usually seen in 1 to 3 sessions.

Why clinical canine massage?

A dog’s anatomy and physiology is very similar to ours. Just like us, when a dog exercises, their muscles can become tight, developing knots and causing discomfort.

Athletes who don't warm up before their sport risk injury. This is also true for our four-legged friends; jumping out of a car and running at speed after a ball is just like a runner doing a sprint without warming up their muscles first.

Dogs involved in sports, such as agility, flyball, canicross, or even showing, from grassroots to top level, face similar challenges to human athletes: the risk of injury from repetitive movements, not warming up effectively, or unbalanced workouts (not working both sides of the body equally).

Just as we benefit from massage therapy, so do our dogs. It helps release tension, improve circulation, restore movement, and improve mood, allowing your dog to feel their best.
